End of last year I open a account with them all I ask for was the IBAN and SWIFT/BIC number to be able to receive money from abroad . This is however to technical for them I still do not have it now more then 8 weeks on. ON my online account it gives me the bank account and sort code but not the simple info every bank has iban and swift/bic. Today they send me a email in my opinion threatening informing me if I do not give a scanned passport copy within 2 weeks they close my account.I have not even been asked to send them such before.POOR ALL I CAN SAY.I replied telling them if they are to unprofessional to supply me with what I need then I need not the account and therefore they need not my passport .Every legit bank has a iban and swift or bic end off

This assessment is primarily the result of recent experiences. When I opened my account, it was still free. Then account management fees of 5 euros / month were introduced. One can perhaps still understand this, but then one also expects ""good customer service"" and working access to his account. Both are not always the case with this bank. What has been really annoying me for a while now are the constant problems logging into the website. Transferring something is not always possible. The icing on the cake was when I finally canceled my account. On the last day I wanted to download the current account statement and the one from the previous month. Both were only possible in the late evening because logging in was again not possible from morning to evening (July 31st). At some point, for a change, Fidor Bank sent an email apologizing for the technical problems. But then it doesn't help either. So you can sit in front of your PC the whole day and try to log in if you don't want to pay 25 euros per bank statement afterwards. This is because these are not made available for free even if the customer cannot log in himself due to technical problems at Fidor Bank. The 'customer service' I therefore recommend anyone who closes their account with this bank that they may prepare for such problems.
